View from hotel terrace

Breakfast was on terrace of the hotel that looks over the city of Palermo. After breakfast we went on a walking tour of central Palermo. Our guide explained lots of history of Palermo and Sicily.  We visited the extremely ornate Santa Caterina Church. A walk through the thriving local market provided lots of sights and smells. The long skinny plant in the picture is a type of zucchini. - Nancy
