After breakfast we headed to Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. The historic center of the city is closed off to traffic and set-up as a pedestrian area. It is a city of about 400,000 people. It is a very clean city. I am very impressed with Slovenia. The scenery is beautiful. The city was free of trash and has setup recycling bins for everyone to use.
I went into the Ljubljana Cathedral or St. Nicholas's Cathedral and there was a choir singing accompanied by the organ. It was lovely to sit in the cathedral and just listen to the music. The city center has old buildings that have been restored and then just outside the pedestrian zone there are rather ugly buildings from the Communist era.
After our stop in Ljubljana we crossed the border to Croatia and are spending the night in Zagreb. - Nancy

wow, that farmers market looks awesome!!
Looks like some great sights and wonderful chance to walk through a historic city. Curious where you will be during Croatia's next World Cup match? That could be quite an event.
