... (& flights out of KL) was spent with Grandpa fulfilling a several-weeks-old request of Rania's to make a visit to Kuala Lumpur's famous birdpark (reportedly, the largest covered birdpark in the world!) So, after a 9 a.m. swim in our pool, the two of us piled-into the car and headed for downtown.
Aside from the large black hornbill trying to devour my camera-strap, "a great time was had by all." (For 16 Ringgit [less than $5] the two of us posed for the pictures while the attendant snapped at least 1/2 dozen pictures with my camera.)
At the birdpark Rania also enjoyed feeding some spinach-like greens to some ostriches and a milky substance to parrots. As usual, there were plenty of ohhs-and-ahhs in regard to peacocks and other large birds that were close-at-hand. Weather was warm, also as usual, but we had plenty of water with us, and insect-repellent as well! Of course, after consuming the snacks we'd brought with us, an indulgent Grandpa had to yield to Rania's pleas for an ice cream cone prior to heading back home to Ampang. -rw

What a lucky girl! I can't believe all those birds on you!
Thanks for helping her with a fabulous day. She is one lucky girl!
Fantastic pictures. She is a lucky girl. Those birds seem tame. A good thing because some of those bills/beaks look pretty threatening.
