Archeological Museum of Agrigento

Telamon
This morning we drove to the Archeological Museum of Agrigento where we saw the Telamon over 7 metres high. It was between pillars of a Greek Temple. The town of Agrigento's establishment took place around 582–580 BC and is attributed to Greek colonists from Gela. It was an interesting tour. But is seems that a professional archeologist who is a tour guide wants to share too much information about each item. I really am not interested in a 10 min. lecture about one extremely old vase. It just proves that I would never want to be an archeologist. - Nancy
