A Visit to the Hawaiian State Capitol

We toured the Hawaiian State Capitol. While there the Royal Hawiian Band was giving a concert on the grounds of the capitol. - Nancy

Father Damien won recognition for his ministry in the Kingdom of Hawaiʻi to people with leprosy, who had been placed under a government-sanctioned medical quarantine on the island of Moloka'i. After sixteen years caring for the physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of those in the leper colony, he eventually contracted and died of the disease, resulting in his characterization as a "martyr of charity".

lovely! There will be a new governor come January... so we will have to visit again to see any changes to the office.
