The ISKL Melawati Campus had a "fun day" on Thursday with a well-organized "Swim Carnival" competition between classes at the various grade levels. Reeve's "Prep Seniors" were "on" between 10:00 a.m. and 10:45, and were grouped by classes for something of a relay race for freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke.
Each child was timed with a stop watch, with the cumulative time for each class being totalled. As you can tell from the picture at the top, Reeve's class is getting ready for the first race. In the picture to the left, Reeve has just jumped in and is ready for the freestyle.
Two or three kids in Reeve's class looked like "real pros" -- good swim team prospects, but Reeve also did very well. It was fun for me to be able to watch the races and see the excitement of the teams as the cheered-on those who were still swimming.- rw
