The End of a Soccer Season

Saturday, June 2nd, marked the end of Eli's soccer season. In fact, in addition to a lengthy "pep talk" from the coach after a 4-2 victory, trophies were awarded to each player. It was especially exciting to see Eli (2nd from left, front row) score a goal!

Eli, #6 on the team, did play an outstanding game -- as a forward during the first half and as a defender late in the game. Daniel's game was at 1:00 p.m. on the same day, but not being present, I didn't get any pictures. Daniel, however, is pictured below -- the only boy in the non-matching uniform! (Daniel's team doesn't finish-up their season for another week, and Micah's season was over last week.) It was a gorgeous day for soccer, with temperatures in the 70's and low humidity. By the way, Daniel also scored a goal in his game! - rw
