Ron & Nancy in Norway!

School was out at ISKL on Friday, June 8, so Nancy took a flight out of KL that evening, flew through Bangkok and landed in Oslo, Norway around 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 9. Meanwhile, Ron (in D.C. at the time) flew into Oslo on Saturday but didn't arrive until 2:30 in the afternoon due to a 2-hour flight delay on Iceland Air. On our first full day in Oslo we woke up to cloudy weather with occasional showers and drizzle. We were impressed by the waterfront (pix) and the City Hall which hosts the annual presentation of the Nobel Peace Prize. The City Hall was constructed in the late 1930's, but the interior decor -- including the beautiful murals --was not completed until after the Nazi occupation ended in 1945. Prior to touring City Hall we walked from our hotel up to the huge Sculpture Garden which was actually a very large park with literally dozens of different sculptures.- rw

Great that you met up and found each other in Norway. That is great!
