Last night I got a text message that school would be cancelled by "Order of the mayor of Rome". All schools in Rome were cancelled for Monday Feb. 26. The forecast was for light snow. I expected to wake up to a light dusting and was surprised to see about 3 to 4 inches of snow. So I bundled up and went for a walk to the local cafe and had hot chocolate and a pastry. Many in the neighborhood had the same idea. It was a busy cafe. It supposedly only snows about every 10 years in Rome. My lucky year! -Nancy
