Spanish Steps - Last Stop on on Sunday Toour

Spanish Steps
Crowds of people in the streets in front of the Spanish Steps.

I had been at the bottom Spanish Steps several times but had never climbed to the top and gone in the Church at the top. So this was my last stop on my Sunday afternoon being a tourist in Rome. The Spanish steps were built in 1723-1725. They were built in order to link the the Trinità dei Monti church at the top with the Spanish square below.
The Church was quite small for Rome standards.

Deposition by Wilhelm Achtermann
It was sunset over Rome when I headed for my apartment. It has been a very enjoyable Sunday. I figured why be in Rome and not enjoy the many sights. - Nancy
